Good news for buffet hunters: The St. Regis Brasserie at The St. Regis on the Bund, Shanghai has a steal of a deal for their daily buffet — ¥198 for lunch (weekends included) and ¥298 for dinner (includes free-flow).
The St. Regis Brasserie
The St. Regis On The Bund, Shanghai is located right next to BFC Mall, a stone’s throw away from the Bund promenade.
On the ground floor, The St. Regis Brasserie is a spacious dining destination with posh interiors and plenty of seating. There’s also one private room for 12 and an outdoor area for kids to run around.
The Buffet
The restaurant serves a daily lunch buffet from 12pm to 2:30pm and a dinner buffet on Friday through Sunday from 5:30pm to 9:30pm.
Highlights are the western grill and fresh seafood stations — ones to make a beeline for.
1. Western Grill
On the western grill, expect lamb chops, steaks, and all kinds of sausages.
To pair with the grilled meats are sides of roasted pumpkin, sweet potato, ratatouille, and skin-on potatoes.
2. Fresh Seafood
Meanwhile, there’s plenty of seafood on ice, including poached prawns, sea whelk, and mussels alongside fresh salmon and mackerel sashimi.
3. Buffet Favorites
Other buffet items include a fresh salad bar with all the accompanying accoutrements you can think of to build your own green bowl, a selection of global sushi, cheese and cold cuts, fresh breads and pastries, and Chinese and western hot dishes.
4. Guest Chef Specialties
The hotel also invites guest chefs from other cities to present authentic flavors for an added variety, featuring regional specialties and hometown cuisines.
This month, they have Chef Victor Bao from The St. Regis Changsha cooking up dishes like sun-dried chilies with liuyang fermented soybean paste, rice noodles, pepper steamed fish head, and more.
5. Dessert
To round off the meal, there’s a dedicated dessert station with assorted cakes, a live pancake station, six different flavors of ice cream, and a myriad of little pastries.
The buffet also includes unlimited beverages of soft drinks, fresh juice, iced and hot tea, and coffee.
During dinner on Friday through Sunday, it also includes free-flow selected wine and beer.
