Ultimate List of Burger Deals in Shanghai

Here’s a big fat undiscriminating list of burger deals in Shanghai. Not just limited to Mondays, all around town, mostly buy-one-get-one (BOGO).

My favorite burgers from this list: Cuivre and Beef & Liberty.

Cuivre

Longstanding French restaurant Cuivre serves up gourmet burgers during lunchtime, and these beautiful stacks are truly delicious! Chef Michael Wendling does a monthly special, which has seen burgers like raclette, Animal Style, and others being featured.

Monday is deal day: Get a burger with fries and a cocktail or beer for ¥98. Does not apply to the chef’s special.

Beef & Liberty

On Mondays, buy-one-get-one (of equal or lesser value) on all burgers at Beef & Liberty, including seasonal specials, each guest must purchase a drink, from 3pm to 9:30pm. No reservations! Both locations have outdoor seating. Solid burgers, excellent fries, and boutique ketchup. These are gourmet burgers, so they are a little pricier, starting from ¥98. Favorite burger: Black Pepper.

Fat Cow

Every Monday from 5-10pm, buy one get one free burgers with the purchase of any drink at Fat Cow. The Australian beef patties on brioche buns already get plenty of loving during the daily lunch rush. Burgers from ¥68.

The Rooster

Every Monday, buy-one-get-one (of equal or lesser value) on all burgers and chicken sandwiches at The Rooster. Includes the double cheeseburger (¥80), classic cheeseburger (¥60), fried chicken pimento cheese sandwich (¥55), buffalo chicken sandwich (¥55), and mushroom burger (¥60). Good place to get liquored up.

MUST Grill

MUST Grill is a casual French restaurant in Jing’an. In addition to their steaks, they also do a buy-one-get-one deal on burgers every Tuesday from 6pm to 10:30pm. Half a dozen burgers to choose from including seasonal specials, comes with a side of fresh-cut fries or salad. Terrace seating available.

Blue Frog

Long-standing Western restaurant chain Blue Frog does a buy-one-get-one burger deal every Monday. Get the deal with the purchase of a drink.

The Shed

Dive bar The Shed has a massive “Half-Price Monday Food Menu” that lists nearly everything they have, which runs every Monday from 4pm until late. The two burgers are dirt-cheap: Aussie Cheeseburger (¥30) and Chicken Burger (¥28). There are about 20 more dishes from chicken curry (¥29) to steaks (¥54 for 180g) on that insane menu. Cheap beer. Good for getting schwasted on a dime.
