On Yongkang Lu, Beiye Tofu (北叶豆腐) is a small shop specializing in tofu desserts, mainly gelato and puddings. The menu’s simple: gelato comes in tofu (vegetarian), rice, almond, and matcha. I really liked the tofu flavor, which was smooth and creamy and tasted like freshly brewed soy beans. Almond’s a close second, while rice is nice but slightly grainy. It’s ¥28 for two flavors in a cup, ¥36 for three. Cones (single flavor) are ¥28.
