The Conrad Shanghai is celebrating Christmas and New Year’s with luxurious surf ‘n’ turf set menus and buffet dinners at Asador and Lane 11.

Located in People’s Square, Conrad Shanghai is one of the city’s newer hotels, housed in a refurbished landmark building, opened in January 2022. I’ve written about it here.
For the year-end festive and celebratory season, two of the hotel’s food and drink outlets will be serving Christmas and New Year’s dinners, while Copper Bistro, the French all-day dining restaurant, will have festive to-go packages of turkey and ham, as well as Christmas hampers.
Christmas & New Year’s at Asador
Signature restaurant Asador is a sleek Mediterranean restaurant and bar that specializes in grilling. The space boasts modern yet rustic interiors, and a spectacular terrace with an attached glasshouse for dining. The terrace is a great place to countdown for NYE!
The restaurant will be serving set menus for Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve.
The Christmas Eve dinner is ¥788 per person, a five-course set that starts with a deluxe seafood platter, followed by Australian Wagyu M5 or Boston lobster, and their signature turkey paella for the main course. Dinner includes one glass of champagne and free-flow soft drinks.
For New Year’s Eve, dinner is ¥488 per person, also includes one glass of champagne and free-flow soft drinks.

Christmas & New Year’s at Lane 11
Lane 11 is a contemporary and chic all-day dining restaurant that offers a buffet of tantalizing flavors from the East and West from open kitchen stations, in addition to à la carte menus.
For Christmas and New Year’s Eve, they’ll be rolling out the red carpet for a killer buffet spread.
The buffet dinner is ¥888 per person on Christmas Eve and ¥688 on New Year’s Eve.
It’ll be a diverse international selection of cuisines with highlights of a “tuna sashimi show,” presumably the carving of a whole tuna, coconut chicken hotpot, grilled seafood and barbecue platters, goose liver sushi, premium seafood on ice, and more.
Live performances on both evenings AND giveaways with prizes of international round-trip flight tickets, a 3-night stay at the Conrad Bali, Destination Room Vouchers, and more. Dinners served from 6pm to 9pm.

Turkey & Ham To-Go
If you’re celebrating the holiday season at home, Copper Bistro has you covered.
Order up a whole roasted turkey (6-7kg) for ¥1,388 or a whole honey roasted ham (8-10kg) for ¥1,188. Both sets come with sides and sauces of chestnut apricot stuffing, chipolata sausages, roasted Brussels sprouts, buttered carrots, mashed potatoes, roasted potatoes, red berry jelly, red wine sage jus, and tomato salsa.
Three days notice required. Pick up from Copper Bistro, free delivery within 5km of Conrad Shanghai. Available until December 25.
Christmas Hampers
Lift the lid on a Christmas hamper full of delicious nibbles and cakes!
Conrad Shanghai’s Christmas hamper includes Panettone with apple and cinnamon, Guylian chocolates, Black Forest honey, Jacquet mini chocolate chip cake, homemade Christmas cookies, stollen, and pudding, a bottle of extra virgin olive oil, Twinings Earl Grey tea, and marinated sardines, and a bottle of Kraemer Blanc de Blancs Brut champagne.
