Atelier Izakaya is a Japanese restaurant serving up creative izakaya bites, yakitori, dishes with Asian-inspired flavors, and drinks. It’s operated by the Taste Buds Group, led by mixologist turned restaurateur Daniel An. Izakaya usual suspects see traditional grilled and skewered items, as well as creative tapas-y bites with foie gras, drunken shrimp, and sauced up octopus leg. The charcoal-grilled steak cuts are also popular. In addition to the Japanese-inspired dishes, some take on a Southeast Asian and Chinese profile, utilizing lemongrass, citronella, and Sichuan spices. Cocktails are solid.

The Bund location has outdoor seating and a few more luxe items with truffle, sea urchin, and premium seafood.
