Azul (Shankang Li)
Azul is a Latin American restaurant by Peruvian restaurateur Eduardo Vargas, one of Shanghai’s most respected chefs. Established in 2003, Azul is also one of Shanghai’s longest running expat-led restaurants. The menu sees a combination of Spanish, South American, and Mediterranean, as well as chef’s heritage of Peruvian cuisine. Expect tasty and fun tapas, ceviche, dishes of seafood paella, slow-cooked pork belly, and hearty steaks. It’s a warm and welcoming restaurant for all occasions — patrons see couples, families, company execs, and rowdy brunch-goers. Brunch served on weekends. This location has one private room and a spacious terrace with outdoor seating.
