Jing Mei Wuxi Mianguan (井梅无锡面馆·私房面) serves Wuxi cuisine, primarily noodles. As it goes with Wuxi cuisine, dishes tend to be on the sweet side. Yes — sweeter than Shanghainese food. The signature bowl is the Wuxi Braised Pork Rib Noodles (无锡酱排骨葱油面), served with soup or dry, dressed with soy sauce and scallion oil, topped with dried shrimp and scallions. The tender pork ribs marinated in a bright red fermented soy. Other dishes to get include the chili and soy-braised pork bones with noodles (香辣牛骨葱油拌面), which has a peppery and spicy profile with star anise, Wuxi-style xiaolongbao (无锡小笼), and Taihu “Three White” Dumplings (太湖三白大馄饨), filled with egg and shrimp.

The dining room at Yanping Lu is small and a little cramped but brimming with character. The Yanping Road location was awarded a Bib Gourmand in 2023.
