UP Shanghai is rolling out a big ol’ grill onto the terrace for Sunday Cookout, serving up heavy-hitting barbecue every Sunday until the foreseeable future.
Chef Carlos Sotomayor has prepped a killer barbecue menu of fire-grilled mains with sides to pair. Mains start from ¥68, each main comes with a side, and additional sides are ¥30.
Every Sunday Cookout will have a different theme centered around the barbecue. This Sunday’s edition is American barbecue: ribs, hot dogs, mac n cheese, and more.
But hey, don’t let me bore you—I’ll let the food speak for itself:
Sunday Cookout: American BBQ Edition
Free-flow is ¥198 for two hours, three cocktails: Espresso Not Martini, Bloody & Merry, and Aperol Spritz.
It’s family-friendly! The stroller-friendly entrance is inside the building—take the lift to the second floor.
Furry friends are welcome.
And for those who like sleeping in: food is served until 6pm.
If it rains (speak not those words!) the show will go on. Tents are set up over the barbecue grill, half of the terrace is covered, and it’s plenty dry inside.
Make a reservation to avoid disappointment. E.g.: getting seats on the terrace. (You’ll have to wait until a table frees ups.)
Sunday Cookout is on every Sunday (unless there are other on-going events) with different themes to follow.
