Ultraviolet by Paul Pairet is a Michelin three-star restaurant in Shanghai. Opened in 2012, it was the first restaurant of its kind, uniting food with multi-sensory technologies to create a fully immersive dining experience. Step into the oval room and take your place at the 10-seater table for a sensory experience that combines food, scents, theatrics, and a spot of fun. The 20-course dinner lasts about 3-4 hours. Four menus available, UVA, UVB, UVC, and UVD, starting from ¥4,800 a person, drinks pairing included; non-alcoholic pairing available. Diners meet at Mr & Mrs Bund (also a Paul Pairet restaurant), and get shuttled to Ultraviolet’s secret location nearby.
