The Michelin Guide Shanghai 2024 has been released, awarding 51 restaurants with stars. This marks the 8th edition of the guide. See the previous list here.

There are 2 restaurants in the three-star category, 8 restaurants in the two-star category, and 41 restaurants in the one-star category. The one-star category includes 5 new entries.
News of the list leaked earlier this morning (November 15) when it was discovered that the official WeChat mini-program for the Michelin Guide was updated with the final results. The official press event for the announcement is scheduled for tomorrow, November 16.
Michelin Starred Restaurants in Shanghai
Taian Table and Ultraviolet continue to hold three stars from the previous years.
No new entries in the two-star category. Xin Rong Ji had a name change to The House of Rong. It holds the same location on Nanyang Lu. L’Atelier de Joel Robuchon closed, and therefore has been removed from the list.
There are a total of 5 new entries in the one-star category, including Ling Long (as expected, opened March 2023), EHB (opened June 2023), New Wave by Da Vittorio Bistrot (well deserved, opened November 2021), Cantonese restaurant Yue Hai Tang | 粤海棠·wineapp (opened September 2021), and Tou Zao | 头灶 (opened in July 2022), which serves Chinese cuisine in the form of omakase.
Those that were dropped from the one-star list include Da Dong (Jing’an). Shang-High Cuisine | 迷上海 (Jumeirah Himalayas) and Sir Elly’s (The Peninsula Shanghai) were also dropped, and are now listed as a Recommended Restaurant.

Bib Gourmand
New on the Bib Gourmand list is Yuge Zhanjiang | 渔哥 ·湛江 (Jing’an), Jing Mei Wuxi Noodle Shop on Yanping Lu, Yu Du Lao Wei Noodle Shop (Huangpu), CHIC 1699 | 远洋私厨 (moved up from a Selected Restaurant). Also new is Lai Lai Xiao Long 莱莱小笼·乔艾, which is baffling, because it should have been on this list from the start.
Restaurants Wu You Xian 屋有鲜 and Ye Olde Station | 上海老站 (Xuhui) closed and were therefore removed from the list. Four Seasons | 文兴酒家 lost its Bib Gourmand rating.
