Manzhong Curry (鳗重咖喱) is a tiny 7-seater restaurant on Wanhangdu Lu that specializes in curry rice meals, namely with eel.
The restaurant belongs to Ren (莲), a group with numerous other Japanese restaurants like Manzhong, the eel rice place I wrote about a while back, as well as concepts surrounding yakitori, sushi, omakase, and sea urchin.

Like Manzhong, this outpost has counter-only seating. The eel is slaughtered fresh daily at their other location, packed, and transported to Wanhangdu Lu. There are four curry items on the menu: eel (¥88), eel and pork chop (¥78), pork chop (¥58), and beef (¥58).

The eel is fried katsu-style. It’s all served with rice, a ladle of curry with carrots, potatoes, and beans, and a side salad. Rice can also be topped up at no extra cost.

It’s a simple, no-frills meal that’s tasty and satisfying. Good for those living and working in the area.
