Cellar To Table
Cellar To Table is a restaurant serves a mix of Italian and Mediterranean cuisine with European broad strokes, led by chef Francesco Bonvini, formerly of Da Vittorio. It’s housed in an iconic Donghu Lu villa in Xuhui, and boasts a beautiful patio with outdoor seating. The dining room is elegant and welcoming, though, a bit small. The wine selection is top-notch, curated by import company Bund Fine Wines, one of the partners behind the restaurant.
Dishes borrow from the Michelin playbook — intricate tuiles and moss-like sponge cake — while others are straight from the heart and downright comforting like the meatballs in marinara, duck maltagliati, and the parmesan covered steak.
