Fifty 8° Grill is a modern French restaurant and steakhouse at the Mandarin Oriental, operated under the watchful eye of acclaimed Michelin-starred chef Richard Ekkebus (based in HK). It’s a classy space with stylish art deco interiors.

It also has an adjoining terrace with al fresco seating and well-manicured lawns.

Weekender: Sunday Free-Flow Brunch

The brunch is ¥788 per person, which runs from 11:30am-2:30pm.

That includes a sharing platter of seafood, salads and desserts, as well as one dish from the egg selection and one from the main course. And that also includes free-flow, three hours if you start on time. For drinks, there’s a slew of beverages, including champagne, gin & tonics and wines.

Burger (¥98) with ground beef, bacon and vegetables. My furbaby takes after me. Burgers for the win.

Dogs have to be on a leash on the terrace. (Be mindful of other guests.) But there’s also a lawn where you can (sometimes) let your dog off-leash and have them walk alongside you.
