Terrace 8 Shanghai

Located on the 8th floor of the hotel, Terrace 8 boasts sweeping views of downtown Jing’an.
This year, they’ve added a mini putt putt course to the lawn, so you can eat, drink, and play.

They do give you a scorecard and a proper set of rules, but let’s be honest: making up your own is half the fun. Think drinking games for the adults (you know you want to), and for those bringing kids, it’s a solid half‑hour of built‑in entertainment, plus the whole lawn for them to run about.

Otherwise, you can just enjoy the space, an open-air terrace like this is hard to come by.
Food & Drink Packages

The food here highlights barbecue, all cooked to order, as well as Mediterranean-style mezze and Southeast Asian favorites. Think truffle fries and cold cuts alongside chicken satay and beef sliders.

Food is all available a la carte, but best value package is a set for two, priced at ¥299, which includes two mezze, two barbecue dishes, and two desserts.
As for drinks, there are plenty of package deals, including two hours of free-flow for ¥129, Asahi and Stella draft.

Upgrade drink options include free-flow bottled beer and wine for ¥189, as well as Chandon sparkling for ¥388, the latter includes one complimentary truffle fries.

Bites

Expect creamy chickpea hummus (¥58) and smoked eggplant baba ganoush (¥58), both served with house-made pita, party favorites of truffle French fries (¥48) and deep-fried squid rings (¥78) served with tartar sauce.

For those in an aperitivo mood, there’s also cold cuts (¥158), which includes parma ham, finocchiona salami, and mortadella with toasted baguette.

Maybe I’m biased, but my favorite bites were the grilled chicken satay (¥68) with peanut sauce, plump chicken thigh with a bit of char and a thick and nutty sauce, Beef Sliders (¥98/three) with relish and mayonnaise, and juicy grilled pork patties (¥78).

In between snack-like bites, there are a few more substantial plates like the juicy grilled pork neck (¥78) with papaya salad, grilled sea bass (¥98) and king oyster mushrooms, and grilled beef flank (¥188) with chimichurri and smoked potatoes.
On Fridays and Saturdays, Terrace 8 will also host DJ Anna for a set of chill soundscapes.
