Uber popular Shanghai bakery and ice cream shop Luneurs has just opened in One ITC, a new mall by Huashan Lu. That makes six locations. And this is the only branch that serves brunch.

As their first go at brunch, it’s pretty good. It is more than affordable with a nice selection of dishes and delicious desserts.

The Space: Luneurs @ One ITC

It’s located at One ITC mall. It’s not in the mall proper, but instead in one of the standalone buildings. Best to enter via Guangyuan Xi Lu, near Huashan Lu. And despite being located in a mall, they’ve really made the space work for them.

There’s even a little ice cream window outside for those who just want scoops of their wildly popular ice cream. (Ahem, salted caramel.)

The Food: Brunch @ Luneurs

They’re still in soft opening, so things might change over the next couple of weeks/months. For now, brunch is being served from 11:30am-5pm, Monday to Sunday.

There are just under 30 items on the brunch menu. It’s a simple checklist to order: three dishes for ¥98, five for ¥158 and seven for ¥198.

Being the glutton that I am, I order as much as I can without overwhelming my dining companions.

Here is what I had:

Ratatouille — Zucchinis and eggplant in a tomato-onion sauce. Great with all that bread, too.

Mozzarella Sticks with truffle mayo — TV dinner mozza sticks seem out of place on the menu.

In Summary

If you’re looking for a new brunch spot to try out as the weather cools, I recommend it. However, be warned that there is usually a queue during lunch hours. Best to go after 2pm if you don’t like waiting. No reservations.

Hours are currently 11am-5pm. Brunch is currently served from 11:30am. Next month, they’ll extend hours from 10am-9pm, and serve brunch only during the day (11am-3pm), have afternoon tea, and launch a dinner menu, which will be more comfort food oriented.
