The Cannery is a gastro lounge inspired by a love of the West Coast spirit, from Vancouver to San Francisco – where fresh seafood, craft artisans, beautiful nature, and chilled lifestyle abound.

The food concept is, according to them, ‘the best seafood we can source, prepared in every way we can imagine,’ from their raw bar to their shellfish steamers to their one-of-a-kind (in Shanghai) applewood campfire signature wood plank salmon fillet. It is also a popular destination for brunch. As for drinks, The Cannery has a world-class selection of craft beers on 28 taps, including rare bottles, an award-winning winelist, a dedicated cocktail program, and one of the largest selections of American whiskies.

The atmosphere is laidback, from the lounge to its spacious terrace and lawn park, where they often times host events, parties, and picnics. The Cannery’s Bloc Party events are a fixture for Shanghai’s social calendars.

It’s also super dog-friendly, with Cannery Pete, their resident English Bulldog mascot, sometimes there to greet other doggo.
