Goose Island is expanding their footprint with a couple of Taprooms across Shanghai. The first Goose Island Taproom opened on Jiashan Lu early March, another will follow end of April. These satellite bars will roll out in other cities in China over the coming months.

On tap are a dozen brews, featuring signature beers, seasonal flavors, and new releases on rotation. I do recommend trying the Angel Goose, a white chocolate stout.

As for food, it’s a simple menu of Chicago-inspired bar bites like hotdogs/chili cheese dogs, an Italian beef sandwich, burgers, fries, sausages, chili, wings, and nachos.

Beer Deals
There’s a daily happy hour from Monday to Thursday, 3pm-8pm, all beers are ¥38 for 480ml glasses.
Then on weekends, Friday to Sunday, it’s ¥150 for three hours of free-flow, a deal that runs from open to close. Insanity! Excellent deals for beer lovers. Plus, you can also get tap beers canned on-site to-go.

It’s a pretty straightforward, no bullshit concept. Plenty of beers paired with affordable and satisfying bars foods, plus killer deals on brews.
A second location of Taproom will open on Yanping Lu, Jing’an in the coming month.
