Let’s cut to the crust of the matter. Pie Week has returned!

After taking a break last year, Pie Society is bringing back a full week, March 1-7, dedicated to all things British and wrapped in fluffy, pastry dough. Here’s what the pie worship entails!

Part 1: 20% Off All Pie Meals

Both locations of Pie Society are going to be taking 20% off the price of any pie meal (regular and full Monty), from 11am-9pm.

So you can get a hot and spicy Premiership Pie, made with Balti chicken curry with spinach and tomatoes, and a side of mash and gravy for just ¥56.

Or try the new Blue Moo, filled with Angus beef, bacon, carrots and stilton cheese, and the Full Monty with sides for ¥80. Plus, it comes with soft drink, tea or coffee.

Part 2: Pie Day Friday

Friday, March 5, has a one-day special offer (¥98) on Full Monty Pie Meals. That’s any pie with a side of mash, mushy peas, gravy, cheese and crispy shallots, and a free beer, cider or wine on the side.

Pie and a pint! Guaranteed to sit and radiate warmth and satisfaction from your stomach for good long while.

Part 3: Piescraper Sunday

The main event! The cherry – or dollop of mushy peas – on top, the thing Pie Week is all building to. Pie Society is bringing back its Piescraper Challenge. This time, it’s for charity!

The challenge: finish a Piescraper as quickly as possible. For charity.

The Piescraper: three pies and two portions of mash, mushy peas and gravy, stacked in a delicious, structurally unsound tower.

The charity: winner’s choice! There’s a ¥150 entry fee for each contestant, and the fastest pie-eater gets to nominate which charity (preferably local) gets the winnings.

The time and place: the challenge starts at 3pm on Sunday, March 7, at Pie Society’s Shaanxi Bei Lu location.

Past attempts at the challenge have seen competitors hoover the last crumbs of crust off their plate in just over 5 minutes. Losers can bag their leftovers and enjoy the rest at home.

You can sign-up for the challenge by adding Pie Society on WeChat: piecanteen

There are only 20 spots, so make sure to sign up quick!
