Shanghai Burger Month, the city’s beloved month-long burger festival, returns for its 5th annual edition from May 1 to May 31, 2026. Organized by Nomfluence, the event brings together 15 Shanghai restaurants, each debuting a brand new burger created exclusively for the month.
This edition is proudly powered by Cheese from the USA, providing a range of American cheeses for the creation of the burgers, as well as drink sponsors Vedett White and Just Be Cha.
Diners can pick up a free Burger Passport at any participating restaurant. Each burger ordered earns a stamp. Collect six or more stamps, and the passport can be entered into a lucky draw — more than ¥20,000 in prizes to be won!

Shanghai Burger Month 2026 is proudly powered by Cheese From The USA, providing cheeses of American Cheese, Pepper Jack, Colby Jack, Monterey Jack, Parmesan, White Cheddar, and Orange Cheddar for the creation of the burgers.
The United States is the world’s largest producer and exporter of cheese, with more than 1,000 varieties available, including classic styles like cheddar, parmesan, and mozzarella, plus American Originals like Monterey Jack, cream cheese and BellaVitano.
In 2025, the U.S. produced approximately 6.65 million metric tons of cheese and exported over 610,000 metric tons. Using old world recipes and artisanal methods, US dairy farmers and cheesemakers are recognized globally for their craftsmanship and innovation.

About The Burger Passport
Every Shanghai Burger Month participating restaurant will have the official Shanghai Burger Month Passports. Just ask for one in-store. Order a Shanghai Burger Month burger and get a stamp.
Collect any 6 stamps or more and submit your completed passport into a lucky draw for some amazing prizes, including up to ¥3,000 in dining vouchers.
You can also order the same burger twice and get two stamps — this counts as two stamp entries. Forgot your Burger Passport at home? No worries. Ask for a new one and send in a photo of both passports to enter the lucky draw.
Too many burgers for one person, you say? You can also do Shanghai Burger Month with friends. Get a team together to join in on a passport and hunt down those burgers.
Increase your chances of winning and start a new passport. You can submit as many new completed passports as you want, as long as you have a minimum of 6 stamps.

Burger Month is more than just eating — it’s all about fun. In celebrating the 5th year, there will be Burger Month Games.

What kinds of photos? Photos of the burger, the passport, you eating a burger, a close-up of your T-shirt — anything that says Burger Month. Don’t worry, it doesn’t need to be professionally taken. Just use your phone.
There are also some themed categories with even bigger prizes.
One of the themed photo categories is with Vedett White. Snap a photo of the limited edition Vedett White beer with your burger and stand a chance to win a case of Vedett White.

This year, for the first time ever, Shanghai Burger Month will have a Judges Panel and an open vote — to crown the King of the Burgers.
- Public Vote – At the end of May, a public vote will be held to vote for everyone’s favorite.
- Judges’ Choice – A panel of 15 burger-lovin’ fans will form the Burger Month Judges Panel, tasting and scoring this year’s burgers.
