Easter arrives early this year, falling on April 5, right as spring settles into Shanghai.

And Portman’s Restaurant at The Portman Ritz-Carlton, Shanghai is bringing back their festive spread for a brunch buffet, along with activities for kids and two sessions of live band performances for the occasion.

For some, Easter a familiar tradition; for others, it’s known only from movies. Either way, it’s a welcome excuse to celebrate warmer weather, longer days, and time together — ideally over a family-friendly brunch with carvery meats, chocolate eggs, bunny appearances, and plenty for the kids to do!

Brunch Highlights

The highlight of the buffet brunch is — as always — the generous selection of carvery. This includes roasted Brazilian-style lamb leg, carved churrasco-style on a spit.

There’s also slow-roasted beef striploin with jus, roasted turkey, teriyaki-baked trout, and roast goose.

The buffet will feature assorted sashimi, including salmon, tuna, and yellowtail.

The usual suspects of cold cuts and cheese, hot and cold Asian and Western dishes, a salad bar, and desserts will also be part of the spread.
