Canton 8 (喜粤8号) is a Michelin-starred Cantonese restaurant. Interiors are modern and minimalist with traditional Chinese elements. It’s pretty cookie-cutter, but comfortable.
Signature dishes include the signature char siu (Cantonese-style barbecue pork), steamed lobster with garlic butter, and their famed dim sum, particularly the delicate shrimp dumplings (har gow). The menu also features an array of fresh seafood, as well as regional Cantonese specialties like roasted duck.

When Canton 8 was listed in the inaugural 2017 Michelin Guide Shanghai, it made headlines for being “the world’s cheapest Michelin two-star restaurant.” It’s held its two-star rating ever since.
