A Yue Bao (阿月煲)

A Yue Bao (阿月煲)

Venture out to a residential area in Pudong district for jiggly wriggly braised pork hock at A Yue Bao. This Shanghainese restaurant has been around for eons (since at least 2007) and caters to a largely local crowd. Service is brisk and curt, but they mean well. It is hailed as being the number one store in Shanghai for red braised pork hock aka 红烧蹄膀煲. There are a ton of other Shanghainese and Jiangzhe dishes, all for real cheap.
