Thanksgiving Buffet Dinner
The Portman Ritz-Carlton, Shanghai will be hosting Thanksgiving buffet dinner on November 28 from 5:30pm to 10pm at The Portman’s Restaurant. Ready to gobble gobble your way through a scrumptious festive spread!
As it goes every year, the Thanksgiving buffet spread highlight is the live carving station. The main event? Roasted turkey. Whole roasted turkeys carved to your liking with trimmings of sage and onion stuffing, roasted heirloom baby potatoes and heritage carrots, red wine sauce, bread sauce, and the requisite cranberry sauce.
That’s not all. The carving station will also be slicing up honey mustard baked ham, Hong Kong style roasted pork belly, truffle roast duck, prime bone-in rib eye, and Thai-style baked ocean trout.
In addition, the buffet also includes a chilled seafood bar, loaded with blue crab, prawns, scallops, jade whelk, and clams. Plus, freshly shucked oysters.
To top it off, there is Japanese station serving fresh sashimi and sushi (salmon, tuna and yellowtail), as well as tempura.
Standard buffet offerings also include freshly baked breads, cheese and cold cuts, a full salad bar, and Western cold and hot dishes.
The buffet also has dim sum, as well as Chinese hot and cold dishes.
For dessert, it’s a fully loaded bar of cakes and pastries, and an ice cream station. It wouldn’t be Thanksgiving without a slice of pumpkin pie! Other desserts include tiramisu, carrot walnut pie, apple pie, pumpkin & pistachio cake, cotton candy and a chocolate fountain for the kids.
