The St. Regis Brasserie

On New Year’s Eve, the carving station will feature whole roasted lamb and tomahawk steaks, alongside a salad bar, cheese and cold cuts, western and Chinese hot dishes, festive cakes and desserts, and more. On New Year’s Day, the lunch buffet will feature freshly shucked oysters, seafood on ice including sashimi, an egg station, carvery of tomahawk steaks, lamb chops, and crab meat Wellington, as well as dim sum and desserts.

The Shanghai EDITION

On New Year’s Eve, Shanghai Tavern at The Shanghai EDITION has a set menu for two for ¥1,088. The set includes prawn cocktail tart, beef tartare, salmon gravlax, mushroom velouté, char-grilled octopus, Australian wagyu beef sirloin, pumpkin panna cotta, and two glasses of Perrier-Jouët champagne. The Cannery

The Cannery has a festive set for two for ¥788 available from Dec 24 to Jan 3, serving from 5pm daily. Highlights see king crab, foie gras, and wagyu beef shank.

New Year’s celebration brunch runs from Dec 31 to Jan 4, featuring their regular brunch menu, but with additional options of roast and salmon carvery, as well as their crab leg promo. Free-flow champagne available during the celebration brunch, ¥488 for the first hour, ¥288 for each additional hour.

For New Year’s Eve, The Cannery will host a countdown party from 10pm. The evening’s revelry will see ¥1 oysters, available from 10pm until a little after midnight, as well as bottle features, hourly lucky draws, “glitter cannon madness,” and a DJ playing hot tracks on vinyl.

The Fairmont Peace Hotel

The Cathay Room at The Fairmont Peace Hotel is hosting a New Year’s Eve gala dinner on Dec 31, two seatings available. The early bird dinner from 5-7pm is a four-course set with a glass of champagne for ¥999 per person. The full gala dinner is from 8pm until midnight, a six-course set with unlimited champagne, and a cookie gift for ¥2,026 per person. The Jasmine Lounge at The Fairmont Peace Hotel is hosting a countdown party with live music performances by The Old Jazz Band from The Jazz Bar next door. Atica has two set menus on New Year’s Eve, available on Dec 31 and Jan 1 for lunch and dinner. The set for two is ¥888 per person, includes two glasses of cava. The set for four is also ¥888 per person, but with a significantly larger sharing menu, and includes one bottle of cava per table. Parlay

Parlay is hosting a New Year’s Eve countdown dinner party from 8pm. The night kicks off with an ice breaker game of pool with a free bottle of selected booze for the winner.

Bites included, featuring a buffet spread of hors d’oeuvres from 9pm. Plus, at midnight, a glass of champagne to toast the year. DJs Lucy Wang and Fixer providing the tunes. Entry is ¥168 pre-sale (before Dec 27), ¥198 at the door.

On New Year’s Day, Parlay will be hosting its second annual Seafood Boil, featuring crab legs, shrimp, pan-seared scallops, and more. Sets start from ¥158 and includes shrimp or crab legs, served with corn on the cob and a baked potato, which you can load up at the toppings bar. They’ll also have Angus M2 bone-in ribeye (¥298/600g). Free-flow is ¥188 for two hours. Runs all day from noon.

The Langham Shanghai, Xintiandi has a New Year’s Eve dinner buffet for ¥688 per person, which includes free-flow sparkling, white and red wine, beer, and soft drinks. Cages

Cages is hosting their New Year’s Eve party from 9pm. Entry is free, but they have packages that comes with guaranteed seats.

It starts from ¥2,088 for a table of 2-4 people, which includes a selected bottle of spirits, beer, soft drinks, fruit platter, and free play all night. It goes up to ¥18,888 for the VIP lounge, which accommodates 20 people, and comes with Dom Perignon champagne, bottles of spirits, food, and more. Plus, attendees on the night will enter a raffle to win an iPad. There will be other games where you can win more prizes, too.
