YICAFE Festive Buffet
YICAFE is the all-day dining restaurant located on level two of the Pudong Shangri-La, Shanghai. It is possibly the most diverse hotel buffet in Shanghai, boasting 10 live cooking stations and serving a dozen different cuisines.
Fresh seafood (including lobster) is cooked to order on the grill while wings and lamb are caramelized over charcoal fire.
Cuisines include Western and Chinese, but also Indian, Middle Eastern, Malaysian/Singaporean, Thai, Japanese, and more, all helmed by chefs who are experts in the field.
For the festive season, they’ll also be serving roasted turkey, slow-roasted beef short rib, and suckling pig, all carved to order. Other grilled meats include racks of lamb, sausages, and tomahawk steaks.
The fresh seafood is also one to make a beeline for. Fresh seafood on ice includes steamed and poached abalone, prawns, mantis shrimp, crab, king crab legs, and more, as well as sashimi of tuna, salmon, and herring with fish roe.
To cap off your festive cheer, head for the dessert section. In addition to the chocolate fountain, YICAFE also has festive desserts of Christmas yule logs, fruit cake, panettone, bûche de noël, and more.
For those wanting a more secluded experience, there are three medium-sized private rooms for 5-8 people, and a large room for 10-12 on the upper floor.

The festive buffet is ¥324 for lunch, ¥487 for weekend brunch; dinner on Monday to Wednesday (BBQ heavy) is ¥464 and Thursday to Sunday (seafood heavy) is ¥487.
