Alinta

Alinta is a charming Western bistro inspired by Australian dining culture, located in Shanghai’s Jiashan Market, a popular spot for weekend farmers’ markets. The cozy interior features Australian-themed decor, including Vegemite displays, kangaroo and koala crossing signs, maps, and modern art. The venue also offers a spacious, dog-friendly terrace.

Owned by Shanghainese chef Tina, who trained in Melbourne and previously worked at Nobu Melbourne, Alinta serves creative Western cuisine with Australian influences. The menu emphasizes fresh ingredients, exclusively using Australian beef and sourcing organic products whenever possible. Some dishes incorporate Asian flavors, such as soy sauce and a spicy Dan Dan Noodle-inspired creation.
