Chai Men Hui (柴门荟) is a refined Sichuan restaurant with multiple locations in Shanghai. The restaurant, under the umbrella of the Chai Men Hospitality Group, was founded in 2019 in Chengdu, and has been consecutively recognized by both the Michelin Guide and the Black Pearl Awards. It’s all led by chef-founder Chen Tianfu, who began cooking Sichuan cuisine at the early age of 16.

The cuisine here is innovative, while still respecting tradition — and you’ll find all the classic dishes here, just elevated for the modern dining world. A core tenet is sourcing premium produce directly from Sichuan (like the smoked silken tofu) and across China. The dining environment is modern and elegant with sophisticated Chinese aesthetics.
