Mi Shang Prada Rong Zhai

Mi Shang Prada Rong Zhai is Prada’s first standalone fine dining destination in Asia, located within the historic Rong Zhai villa in Jing’an, Shanghai. The space, a collaboration with director Wong Kar Wai, is an elegant tableau where Prada art collections meet Chinese antiques, transforming from a serene daytime salon into a sophisticated evening stage. Housed within is a modern Italian restaurant, bar, tea room, and pastry shop, complete with a private room, lounge space, and an idyllic covered terrace.

Executive Chef Riccardo La Perna, a celebrated maestro formerly of Otto e Mezzo BOMBANA Shanghai, crafts a menu where refined Italian technique meets subtle Chinese influences. Think exquisite hand-made pastas paired with lobster or a pristine blue fin tuna tartare crowned with caviar. The pastry program, led by award-winning Creative Pastry Director Diego Crosara, is a significant draw, particularly the afternoon tea. Priced at ¥488 per person, the afternoon tea set features a seasonal curation including tiramisu, Sacher cakes, savory tartlets, and delicate pralines. Prices subject to 10% service charge.
