Guang Fan (廣范) is a cheap-as-chips Cantonese restaurant located in Printemps, the same mall where Five Guys is. Technically, it’s not new. It opened in late 2021, then got hit with the lockdown BS early 2022, then reopened late 2022. Understandably, it flew under the radar.

The Cantonese food here doesn’t have a big wow factor, but it’s really unbelievably inexpensive. It’s tasty, up-to-scratch, and easy-going. As for authenticity, all the chefs hail from the region. It’s more of a casual neighborhood lunch or dinner, or for a party in one of the many private rooms.

What piqued my interested initially was the collaboration with long-standing whisky bar brand Constellation, who provides the specs to cocktails and operate the bar. But that’s the extent of their involvement, and Guang Fan is not operated by the whisky bar chain. The good, affordable Cantonese food drew me in, and this is me, recommending it to those who want a no-frills meal.

Guangfan does get busy during peak hours (lunch time on weekends), and draws an early dinner crowd. Avoid those times if possible unless you don’t mind waiting.
