This festive season, The St. Regis Brasserie at The St. Regis on the Bund, Shanghai is pulling out all the stops for their Christmas and New Year’s buffet.
Expect plenty of sashimi, carvery of turkey, tomahawk steaks and lamb chops, and festive desserts for dinner (¥688) and lunch (¥428), including free-flow!

Dinner Buffet

The festive dinner buffet will be served on December 24, 25 and 31 from 5:30pm to 9:30pm.
Highlights begin with a seafood station laden with king crab, New Zealand mussels, shrimp, and freshly shucked oysters. The selection continues with fresh sashimi, including salmon, octopus, sweet shrimp, hamachi, and abalone. Additionally on Dec 24 & 25, the night will begin with a whole tuna carving — which will be served on the buffet.

For Christmas, the carving station will feature festive turkey, honey-glazed ham, and baked red trout, accompanied by seasonal sides such as Brussels sprouts with bacon and cauliflower bacon gratin. In addition, Christmas diners will also be treated to
a special raclette station, complete with smoked ham and baby potatoes.


On New Year’s Eve, the carving station will feature whole roasted lamb and tomahawk steaks instead of turkey.

There’s also a salad bar as well as a cheese and cold cuts section, including premium cheeses such as Fourme d’Ambert, 18-month Comté, and Roquefort, alongside coppa, terrine de campagne, foie gras terrine, and 5J Iberico ham sliced to order.

Other Western dishes feature grilled steak, lamb chops, octopus, and sausages, while Chinese dishes see sautéed beef short rib, crispy skinned chicken, and fried pork ribs.
Pass-around specialty dishes include luxurious fish maw soup and baby lobster with truffle and abalone sauce.

As for dessert, expect a multitude of festive cakes and bite-sized sweets: Christmas log cake, fruit cake, pistachio Basque cheesecake, chocolates, macarons, stollen, panettone, cookies, pudding, and more, plus six varieties of gelato.
For Christmas, The St. Regis Brasserie will also host a few kid-friendly activities for the kids, including a balloon artist, a magician, and a special appearance from Santa.


Lunch Buffet
For lunch on December 25 and January 1, the buffet will feature a similar spread to dinner.

The lunch buffet will including freshly shucked oysters, seafood on ice, sashimi, sushi, cold cuts, cheeses, salad bar, and pass around specialty dishes.

Additionally, there will be an egg station for made-to-order omelets with smoked salmon, eggs Benedict, and French toast.


For the lunch buffet, the carvery selection will feature tomahawk steaks, rosemary grilled lamb chops and a wasabi crab meat Wellington. Additional Western dishes see clam chowder, rabbit stew, and lasagna, and Chinese offerings highlight steamed dim sum.
