Popular all-day café Egg has a new menu, and it’s all about the breakfast sandwich, from the egg-smothered open-faced variety to their version of the Chinese shaobing.
New chef Jamie Pea is to thank for the new menu. She was previously based in Beijing, and London, New Jersey, and Hong Kong before that. She got her sweet start at the Peninsula Hotel Hong Kong’s patisserie section. Other formative roles include those at Nick’s Fine Foods, a creative caterer in London’s Sloane Square; and Bo London, sister restaurant to Bo Innovation and Bo Shanghai (now closed).

About Egg
Egg was one of the most talked-about openings of 2015, thanks in large part to Instagram fanatics, hipster folk, and founder Camden Hauge’s reach. It was possibly the only trendy, bright and airy café at the time that focused on healthy food options.
Today, Egg is a neighborhood staple, and their Chef’s Table events (guest chef dinners) are ever popular. It’s a great alternative workspace—it’s bright, has plenty of power outlets, is pet-friendly, and has good coffee.
