About Burger & Lobster

Founded in 2011 as a whimsical Mayfair experiment, Burger & Lobster has since evolved into a cult-status empire, with outposts from New York to Singapore.

And yet, for all its silver-tray service and premium ingredients, the vibe remains delightfully unfussy — a place where lobster rolls (via Canada) and USDA beef burgers are devoured with equal gusto, no white tablecloth pretension in sight.

Now, they’ve teamed up with Shanghai Tavern for a two-month takeover, aiming to shatter lobster roll sales records.
On The Menu

Burger & Lobster is known for The Originals, items that have been on the menu since day one: The Mayfair burger, Classic Lobster Roll, and Classic Whole Lobster, which are served with fries and salad.
The Originals

The Mayfair Burger (¥168) is a six-ounce (170g) beef patty is cooked to juicy medium, unless you insist otherwise. It gets the royal treatment with house pickles, crisp lettuce, tomato, and a house burger sauce that’s between tangy and creamy.

Then there’s the Classic Lobster Roll (¥268). Chilled knuckle-and-claw meat gets a light toss in lemon mayo before being piled into a toasted brioche roll. The result?

A sandwich that’s rich but not cloying, luxurious but unfussy. It comes with a side of their addictive garlic-lemon butter sauce.

The Classic Whole Lobster (¥588) is a flex in the best way possible. Served steamed to highlight its natural sweetness or grilled for a whisper of smokiness, it arrives with that same irresistible garlic-lemon butter.

For those who refuse to choose, there are multiple combos available, too. The B&L Combo (¥396) offers the best of both worlds: a half lobster paired with the Mayfair burger, plus fries and salad. The Roll Combo (¥298) is another crowd-pleaser, bundling the lobster roll and burger into one glorious meal.
For the particularly ambitious — or for those who are just really, really hungry — the Combo For Two (¥888) is the move. A whole lobster, a Mayfair burger, and a lobster roll, plus fries and salad. It’s the kind of feast that demands a post-meal nap.
Seasonal Surprises

In addition to starters of wings and croquettes, B&L have a bunch of seasonal specials, including The Honcho Burger (¥158), a double smashed patty smothered in sautéed mushrooms, melted cheese, and a peppercorn-cream sauce.

Prefer your seafood with a kick? The Red Hot Roll (¥178) swaps the classic mayo for a mildy spicy and tangy sauce, stacking lobster and prawn meat with lettuce and onions in a soft roll.

And then there’s the Spicy XO Butter Lobster Linguine (¥178), where plump lobster meat meets house-made XO sauce, chilies, and Japanese soy. It’s umami-rich, slightly spicy, and the kind of dish that makes you wonder why you don’t eat lobster pasta more often.

Wash it all down with the Tiramisu Martini (¥138), a boozy, creamy concoction of Baileys, Kahlúa, and vanilla that’s basically dessert in a glass.
